Who We Are
Artylalla was founded by Meriem Idrissi who loved art and craft from her childhood. It was my happy time when the whole family was taking a nap in summer and I stayed awake to open the closet and cut pieces from ornate traditional outfits of my mom and try to make a thing!
ARTY LALLA we consider every artisan to be an artist and Lalla used in the past in Morocco to give a lady more value and we consider all the ladies as precious as pearls.
ARTY LALLA specializes in authentic and creative items handcrafted by Moroccans who are innate artists pleasing handmade lovers around the world with their fantastic creations every day.
We would like to contribute in spreading intercultural values and beauty all over the world.
Help from one side handicrafts’ lovers to reach to products made by passion; and from the other side help Moroccan artisans handle out their marvels that carry one thousand and one stories, to the world
We focus on organic and natural ingredients in our products.
As we started working on a recycling section to help in saving the environment.
ARTY LALLA is donating 5% of its benefits to increase and encourage girls to study in rural villages and to afford funding for other social and humanitarian projects in Morocco.

Women artisans have priority on our website, and we try to reach them in the furthest villages!

Our story
Artylalla was founded by Meriem Idrissi who loved art and craft from her childhood. It was my happy time when the whole family was taking a nap in summer and I stayed awake to open the closet and cut pieces from ornate traditional outfits of my mom and try to make a thing! Or just drawing, cutting and pasting from old magazines. The plan was that I study arts after middle school but my fate led me to study language in high school, and at the university without forgetting to attend my classes in a management school at the same time! Then I worked in different fields afterward! I keeped attending art galleries whenever I could and seeing beauty around me! I was also inspired by the beautiful marvels handmade with a lot of passion and devotion by our artisans, reflecting the colorful beauty, abundance and authenticity of the Moroccan culture; hence I decided to make my project reflecting all about me, Moroccan handmade items carrying my vision in a modern and cozy way. I started by upcycling jewelries, refurbishing kitchenware, and leading art workshops for kids. I see art as a key to open the future of peace, sustainable development, protecting the environment and raising awareness! I’ll keep trying to turn my trash into gold, to serve my community and the global one, also to spread culture, to make an impact and to be me!
In this project I collaborate basically with skilled women and small artisans and we focus more on natural and environment friendly raw materials. We aim to create a solid relationship with artisans and their families through empowering women, encouraging girls to study and promoting sustainable development in the region and we love to spread beauty and happiness in cozy houses all over the world.
